DIY Projects: Here are the Best Posts from 2016 from Walking on Sunshine

My blog is definitely a lifestyle blog!
Don't let the word "recipes" in the url address fool you.  I like to say that my blog is a place where I share a little of my life, my love for decorating and DIY projects but more importantly, what's for dinner in our house tonight!  Yesterday I shared with you the best recipes from the blog for 2016 and today it's all about the best posts that are DIY Projects!  You'll notice my hubby had a lot to do with most of them!

The Best DIY Projects from 2016

#1 Five Tips on How to Grow Mint in Your Garden - these photos are so old but I wanted to write about how we grow mint in our garden, so I put them together in a collage and who knew this would be the #1 DIY post on the blog from last year!  We still have this mint growing in our garden and I'm happy to say it really does work.  Our mint is contained just like you see it here in this photo.

#3 DIY Chalkboard Buffet Table - this was a project I had my hubby do the day before Thanksgiving.  It worked out really great and it's still pretty popular on the blog!

#4 Easter Egg Place Cards - I was so pleased with how these place cards turned out last year for Easter.  They looked great on our table and everyone loved them too.

#6 How to Make Christmas Crafts in July - I love mason jars and love the idea of celebrating Christmas in July and love this post.  There are so many beautiful ideas in this post

#7 How to Make a Mason Jar Wall Organizer - yes, another project made by my hubby.  He surprised me with this one for Mother's Day last year and I absolutely love it.  Originally he made it for me to use in the bathroom for my makeup brushes, but it didn't fit quite right.  And I really love it here in the dining room under my grandmother's sampler.  She started me on my love for mason jars.

#8 How to Build your First Garden - we love our vegetable garden!

#9 Mason Jar Must Haves - just a few of my favorites!

#10 Home is Where the Heart is Photo Project - this was a hard project to make because it was for my daughter and her husband.  They moved last February to Oregon and I miss her terribly.  The project turned out great and it's a nice reminder for them both to know they always have a home with us in Pennsylvania!
