If you're struggling with getting meals together and on the table every night, I suggest you take the time and plan out your meals. I find it easier to write out our meals using our Weekly Meal Planner. It helps keep me focused and plan ahead for busy nights.
That way I'm not tempted to go through a drive-thru and pick up hamburgers for my family.

Food Categories for Dinner
Using food categories for dinner each night can help you plan out your meal plan. By organizing your dinners around different food categories, you can create a balanced and diverse meal plan.
For example, one night you can plan recipes around beef, whether it's a juicy steak, a comforting beef stew, or a flavorful burger. On another night, you can explore the endless possibilities of chicken, from grilled chicken breasts to creamy chicken Alfredo pasta.
📌Assign each day of the week a different category and then plan a meal according to that category.

This is just an example of how I like to meal plan. You could also incorporate a “leftover meal” or even “clean out the refrigerator” night. This is something we do at least once a week or every 10 days.
- Monday - Meatless, Vegetarian or even Leftovers from the weekend.
- Tuesday - Taco Tuesday or Mexican Recipe
- Wednesday - Chicken, Beef or Fish
- Thursday - Pasta or Italian Night
- Friday - Sandwiches and Soup
- Saturday - Pizza or Eat Out, Order In
- Sunday - Comfort Food Meal
Now, pick a side dish to serve with the recipes listed above. Side dishes should include potatoes or rice along with one or two veggies. A tossed salad with homemade ranch salad dressing is always nice too.
