Family: How to Watch the Solar Eclipse and Activities

Ways to Watch and Activities for the Solar Eclipse

Everyone is going crazy over the solar eclipse that is happening today, August 21, 2017. What are your plans?  Do you even have any?

With no kids at home any longer I'll admit I haven't really thought about the solar eclipse that much until just yesterday.  I spent some time and found a few great solar eclipse activities for kids that I know you're going to enjoy.

Solar Eclipse Food

Since I am a food blogger, I need to start off with FOOD.  Besides purchasing Moon Pies at your local grocery store, here's a great treat found on Pinterest. No link available other than the original Pinterest pin, but all you need to do is make vanilla cupcakes and add Oreo cookies.  The kids will have fun moving the chocolate cookies, MOON, over the vanilla cupcakes, SUN.

I love these Eclipse Cookies and there is a recipe if you go to the link here.
There's still time to bake something yummy!

  1. Thanks for sharing the solar eclipse crafts as I was looking for some of them to use for the students. I am thinking to make some of them and distribute them among children and get their feedback.
