An easy and inexpensive patriotic table centerpiece for you to celebrate the red, white and blue!

Who else loves the red, white and blue as much as me?

July 4th is just a few days away!  Today I'm sharing with you an easy and inexpensive patriotic table centerpiece that you can make to impress your guests at your home next week.
You can keep this centerpiece up all summer long, not just for the July 4th holiday.
I really think it's fun to decorate your outdoor space with a patriotic theme all summer!

And creating your own table centerpiece shouldn't be difficult especially if you have a few extra mason jars lying around your house.  Or if you're at my house a few dozen extra mason jars.

This centerpiece is easy and inexpensive and you can use it for any summer party celebration,
but it's really nice for the July 4th holiday coming up in a few days.

My Mason Jar Collection

You all know I love mason jars! I used them for my daughter's bridal shower last year
and I use them around my house.  All around my house.  Here's a photo I've shared before of
just a little of my collection of blue mason jars...

I keep all these blue mason jars on top of our kitchen cabinets.  In fact when we redid our kitchen a few years ago, we purposely did NOT choose the popular taller cabinets so I could continue to display my mason jars on the top!  AND we chose the pretty pale yellow paint for the walls to compliment the blue of the mason jars.

So, yes, I am slightly obsessed with mason jars.

Patriotic Table Settings

I am in love with this week's project.  We're not even hosting a party for July 4th next week but I still couldn't help myself by looking through Pinterest for some ideas on creating
Patriotic Table Settings.  And what better way than to use my love of mason jars when looking through all the different table decorations to make.

Here's the table decoration idea I created...

Easy Patriotic Table Centerpiece Supplies

  • 3 Mason jars
  • Red sand
  • White sand
  • Blue sand
  • White candles
  • Red, white or blue bandanas
  • Tray

To put the centerpiece together, all you need to do is add a different colored sand to each mason jar.

Here's what you need for the project: colored sand, mason jars and candles.

Add a candle to the top of each mason jar and add the jars to the tray with the bandanas...

I love this Galvanized Tray!  I use it for so many things but for now it's the perfect tray for my patriotic centerpiece.  Here are a few other galvanized trays for YOU to use when you create your own centerpiece.  And you know you want to create one of your own!

This is the size mason jar I used.  But really any size works.
I even filled up a few little ones with extra sand and then used some of my older
antique jars to hold bandannas.

I love the way the centerpiece looks with all the candles lit.
Just as I was getting ready to take the photo last night, a storm was starting.
After a few tries, the candles stayed lit long enough for me to take a few photos.

So pretty...
