What are your goals for 2016?

I know I'm not alone in saying that for me, one of my goals is to try and lose weight.
2015 was a hard year for me physically and after a few months of steroids and different medicines,
I have gained some weight that I really want to get rid of over the next few months.

This week's Menu Plan Monday is featuring recipes that are great for weight loss.
These are recipes that the whole family will enjoy for dinner!

Menu Plan Monday - Weight Loss Meals and Goals 2016 from Walking on Sunshine. This week's Menu Plan Monday is all about recipes that are low in calories to help us all reach our weight loss goals for 2016.

If you're struggling with getting meals together and on the table every night, I suggest you start planning out your meals.  Get the kids involved with the planning also!  Have them pick a meal one night a week.  And make sure they know they need to pick a healthy meal that includes vegetables. Make it fun for them!

Chicken Pesto Pita from Skinny Ms

This Chicken Pesto Pita makes a perfect meal, whether at home with family or on-the-go at work. It’s flavorful and easy to assemble, and will leave you satisfied without weighing you down.
Add a tossed salad on the side or a broth-based soup and dinner is ready!

Skinny 3 Cheese Penne from Skinny Mom

The whole-wheat pasta helps you cut carbs compared to traditional Italian dishes
and each cheese is lower in fat so you can feel good
about enjoying a family favorite while trying to lose weight.

Spinach Salad with Chicken from Recipe Girl

This salad is super simple: chicken, avocado, pine nuts, feta cheese, tomatoes and spinach.
It's hearty enough for dinner and you'll feel good about
serving something healthy to your family for tonight!

 from Lose Baby Weight

This dish has just 4 key requirements – chicken, spinach, ricotta and parsley.
And did you know that a cup of spinach has only 7 calories!!!

Cauliflower Pizza from Pop Sugar

I've heard people LOVE this pizza using cauliflower as the crust.
If you're not feeling adventurous, you can make pizza using whole wheat pitas or
even using flour tortillas.  Just be careful and check the number of carbs on the package
of the pitas or tortillas you purchase.
