Menu Plan Monday - Healthy Breakfast Recipes

How are you doing on your Menu Plans so far this year?

I'm doing pretty good.  I had a really busy day on Thursday,
so the meal I had planned on making was our dinner on Sunday and hubby brought home a pizza.
I did pretty good also with my eating healthy menu plan too!
I need to do better with my intake of water, but more on that later this week.

This week I thought we would concentrate Menu Plan Monday on healthy breakfast recipes.
It is the most important meal of the day...or so they say.
I really do like to eat a healthy breakfast most mornings
and then on Saturday make a big, not-so-healthy breakfast for the family.
Either way, I'm so happy we have our menu plan to help every week
to make sure we have good meals on the table for our families every week.

This week's Menu Plan Monday is all about Healthy Breakfast Recipes to start your day off right! Walking on Sunshine Recipes.

If you're struggling with getting meals together and on the table every night, I suggest you start planning out your meals.  Get the kids involved with the planning also!  Have them pick a meal one night a week.  And make sure they know they need to pick a healthy meal that includes vegetables. Make it fun for the whole family!

Breakfast Smoothie Bowls from Buzz Feed

Breakfast Smoothie Bowls are the latest crazy.  You can create pretty much any combo of flavors that you want and then top it with your favorite fruits and other crunchy things like cereal and nuts.

Easy Breakfast Roll Ups from Homecooking Memories

I love to make egg burritos as we call them in our house for breakfast.
They're easy to put together and if you're running late, you can eat it on the go!
BUT, be careful when selecting the type of flour tortilla you use.
Check the calorie and carb count and if you need to, cut it in half before
adding the egg and vegies.

Egg White Frittata from Pop Sugar

This low-calorie frittata is quick enough to come together on a weekday morning
but elegant enough to serve to friends at a special weekend brunch.

Wheat Free Pancakes from Pop Sugar

Using almond flour and flaxseed means these dense, filling hotcakes are
high in fiber and protein.  They look yummy!

Yogurt Filled Fruit Bowl from Pop Sugar

You can always go "old school" and fill up a cantaloupe with yogurt or cottage cheese
and add fruit.  I like a sprinkle of cinnamon/sugar on top of cottage cheese.

Come back tomorrow for a yummy Homemade Granola Recipe...

Coconut Pecan Chocolate Chip Granola from Walking on Sunshine Recipes. Perfect over yogurt or on top of a peanut butter! Your family will love this granola.

Don't forget to follow along on Pinterest!

I have a board just for Menu Plan Monday for you to check it out
and get great ideas from every week.
