New Year's Eve Appetizers - Menu Plan Monday

Monday, December 28, 2015

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

We usually stay home and celebrate quietly.
Which is really how I love to spend New Year's Eve.
Although I do enjoy going to church, but our church doesn't have
a New Year's Eve service every year.
When they do, we go to church and then home to watch a movie
or one of our favorite shows on Netflix and have a few different appetizers.

I think having appetizers is fun for New Year's Eve!
So I thought for this week's Menu Plan Monday we would focus
on yummy appetizers for all of us to enjoy as we all wait
for "the ball to drop" and welcome in the year 2016.

The perfect appetizers for a successful New Year's Eve party from Walking on Sunshine Recipes.

Christmas Tree Cheese Platter from Walking on Sunshine

There is no link for this appetizer recipe.
This is what I put together as our cheese platter for
Christmas Day.  I know you've all probably seen this idea floating around FB.
I love how it came out and everyone thought
it was very creative.  I used cheese, grape tomatoes, summer sausage
and red seedless grapes AND rosemary to add green to the tree...

Cranberry Turkey Pinwheels from Dessert Now, Dinner Later

This appetizer is a festive way to end the year!
Easy to make ahead too for your celebration...

I love how these meatballs are plated!
The forks in each meatball make it easy for your guests to help themselves.
You can find forks like this at any Dollar Tree Store...

Pepperoni Caprese Bites from Authentic Suburban Gourmet

Our local grocery has this amazing olive and cheese bar so getting
mozzarella balls is no problem for us.  BUT if you can't find the cheese balls,
you can cut up a block of mozzarella to put this appetizer together...

Calzone Pinwheels from Jo Cooks

Calzone Pinwheels – pretty bites that are easy, cheesy and adorable.
Perfect little appetizers full of flavor, they’re cheesy and delicious.

I have a board just for Menu Plan Monday for you to check it out
and get great ideas from every week.
