What is your favorite Christmas Cookie?

I have quite a few, but I love shortbread dipped in melted chocolate the best!

This week for our Menu Plan Monday I thought we would do something completely different and instead of sharing menu ideas, I would share cookie recipes.
Christmas is next week and I don't know about you but I need to get baking!
I try every year to bake a few recipes of cookies to give as gifts to neighbors and a few friends.
These cookie recipes in this week's Menu Plan are all recipes that I make!

And they are delicious.

So with that being said, here are a few great cookie recipes
for you to make this recipe a day and by the end of the week,
you'll have five different cookie recipes to enjoy this Christmas.

This week's Menu Plan Monday is all about Christmas Cookies.

 from Cooking Classy

I made these last year for the first time and they were amazing.
This is a recipe that my friend Jani made for our annual cookie exchange.
They're easy to put together and as delicious.

Italian Anise Cookies from Noble Pig

Another cookie I made for the first time last year were these
Italian Anise Cookies.  If you don't like the flavor of anise, you can
easily use lemon extract or even almond extract.

Chocolate Dipped Shortbread from Walking on Sunshine

This is my favorite cookie to make at Christmas time.
I have been making this recipe for over 20 years and it never fails.
You'll want to make sure you chill the dough before you try to roll it out.
You can use heart shaped cookie cutters too!

Hugs Chocolate Kiss Cookies from Stuck on Sweet

I make these cookies every year using different Hershey kisses.
Last year I made them with hugs and with peppermint kisses.
They were a big hit at our annual cookie exchange.

Italian Pizzelle Cookies from Walking on Sunshine

This is an old family recipe that has been in our family for years.
You need a special pizzelle iron to make the cookie.  I purchased my pizzelle iron
on Amazon for around $50.00 a few years ago and I love it.

Here's a photo from last year's Christmas baking...

I have a board just for Menu Plan Monday for you to check it out
and get great ideas from every week.
