Menu Plan Monday

Monday, September 14, 2015

I'm starting something GREAT this week.  I hope to share with you on a weekly basis a menu plan that will have incredible recipes that you can incorporate into your weekly menu plan for your family. They will be recipes from my blog, my foodie friends and my favorite place to find anything...Pinterest.

I don't sit down and do a menu plan every week anymore.  I used to when my kids were younger and involved with school activities, but life is easier now.  I tend to plan out what we're going to eat for dinner each morning.  But I still believe menu plans keep you organized and help save money.

If you're struggling with getting meals together and on the table every night, I suggest you start planning out your meals.  Get the kids involved with the planning also!  Have them pick a meal one night a week.  And make sure they know they need to pick a healthy meal that includes vegetables. Make it fun for them!

Black Bean Quesadillas from The Curvy Carrot

This recipe is perfect for Meatless Mondays.
Add a side salad with some chips and salsa to make this an easy meal for a busy start to the week.

One of my family favorites.  I love this recipe because it's easy and quick.
I can have dinner on the table in 30 minutes when I make this meal.

Twenty Minute Tortellini Bake from This Gal Cooks...

Oh my word this looks delicious.  You could use either meat tortellini or cheese tortellini.
This looks like another easy meal that all you need to do is make a
tossed salad and some garlic bread and dinner is ready!

Easy Thai Chicken from Damn Delicious...

I'll be honest with you, I have never had Thai chicken or Thai ANYTHING.
This looks delicious and I know my family will love it.  I think a nice
rice dish and steamed broccoli will be great on the side with this chicken.

Okay, you can never go wrong with pasta on a Friday night.
I love the idea of having a different type of sauce than the
traditional red sauce I seem to always be making.
You could easily make some grilled chicken to add to the dish or serve
along the side.  I think homemade bread sticks made from
refrigerator pizza dough would be delicious with this meal.
