Christmas: How to Host a Cookie Exchange

A fun way to celebrate the holiday season is with a Christmas Cookie Exchange!
How to host your own cookie exchange party / Walking on Sunshine Recipes

Have you ever been to a cookie exchange?

Yesterday, I went to a cookie exchange at my friend Jani's house.   Last year, the cookie exchange was at our house.  Each year we have such a fun time that I thought I would put together a blog post detailing how Jani organized everything and give you some ideas and tips on How to Host a Cookie Exchange for your family and friends.

All you need to do is invite a group of friends and have each bring one kind of their favorite holiday cookie to share. At the party, everyone trades and ends up with a whole lot of different delicious holiday cookies...plus new recipes!

Here are some photos from the cookie exchange I hosted here at our house last year...

Our cookies to share...

And more cookies...

An ornament to remember the fun we had...

These are the cookies I made last year.

Besides cookies, I made Mini Pizzas and a few other goodies for the ladies to enjoy.
I used cookie cutters to make different shapes with the pizza dough to go with our cookie theme...

Here are some photos from this year's Cookie Exchange
 at my friend Jani's house...

Everyone brought a plate of their cookies to share...

Jani set up a fun Hot Cocoa Bar...

We all brought a brunch dish to share.

All of our cookies to take home with us...

Here are some great ideas I found from other bloggers on how to host your very own Cookie Exchange Party.

There's printables to use and other fun things that will
make YOUR party one your friends will remember!

  2. I have always wanted to hold a cookie exchange but it sounds so daunting I hope to try next year with all the soccer moms and dance moms. Thanks for the tips on Show and Tell.
