Pumpkin Glazed Donuts are delicious and EASY.  Baked in the oven using a great donut pan.
Pumpkin Glazed Donuts from Walking on Sunshine Recipes.

One of my favorite things to enjoy during the fall is PUMPKIN!
I made these Pumpkin Glazed Donuts the other day and they came out so good.  They're very similar to the Pumpkin Muffins I shared with you awhile ago.  There are so many recipes going around on Facebook using spice cake mix and canned pumpkin puree that are so easy.  I used the same donut pan that I made these chocolate donuts in for Olivia's birthday a few years ago so they were baked and not fried.

Pumpkin Glazed Donuts are delicious and EASY. They're baked in the oven and not fried using a great donut pan. Find more easy recipes and ideas at Walking on Sunshine Recipes.

INGREDIENTS:

For the Donuts
  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree; NOT pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 TBSP. melted butter
For the Crumb Topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP oatmeal
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 TBSP. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the crumb topping ingredients in a bowl and using a pastry cutter, or two knives cut the butter into the mixture until you have crumbs; set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs and melted butter. Mix until combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the donut pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray. Use a butter knife to spread the donut batter out smoothly.
  5. Place about one tablespoon of the crumb mixture onto the top of each donut batter.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes to 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into one of the donuts comes out clean. Let the donuts cool slightly before removing them from the pan.
  7. Combine the glaze ingredients together and drizzle over the cooled donuts.

This is the donut pan I use.  I love it.  I actually have TWO!

This dispenser would be great to help get the batter in the pan easily.
You can also use it to fill up cupcake pans or make pancakes!
