Being raised in Queens, NY we grew up on iced tea. No, really, we did. Only it came in a powdered form and you added water to it and it sat in a gallon jug in the refrigerator. I didn't know what real fresh brewed iced tea was until after the Colonel and I were married and we traveled south to live in Ft. Benning, GA for a few months. I was in love with the taste and knew what I had been drinking all of my life was NOTHING compared to the deliciousness of Fresh Brewed Iced Tea...
This is how I make a glass of fresh brewed iced tea. I brew a cup of hot tea using my Keurig Coffee Machine. I let the tea steep for awhile and cool down. Then I add the tea to a tall glass filled with ice and add some sweetener and I'm in heaven...
This is NOT sweet tea, but it's really good and EASY...
When I want to make a larger quantity of fresh brewed iced tea, I boil about 2 cups of water. Add the water to a ball jar and then add about 6 to 8 tea bags and let it steep for awhile in the refrigerator. Then I add this concentrated tea to a larger container of water and place in the refrigerator to enjoy all day long...
Enjoy!
