Christmas Terraniums...

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

I don't know about you, but Christmas is coming too soon for me!  I thought today I would share a few ideas for last minute decorating.  I love the look of terrariums and think they're easy to put together and can really dress up a table or kitchen counter or any place in your house that needs a little Christmas cheer.

This original idea was found on my friend's blog, Embracing my Blessings and I shared it last year on Daily Dish Magazine.  You can find the original post HERE.

Most of the time you can purchase the trees and bags of snow at The Dollar Tree or any other craft store.   I made a few terrariums last year using old canning jars and epsom salt because I couldn't find any snow as it was after Christmas.  Epsom salt works great also!  Then just look around your house for different sized glasses, jars or old candle holders.

Be creative!  Have fun!

Here are a few more different ideas...

I love this idea.  A jar made into an ornament to hang on the tree...

I have a collection of old blue canning jars.  These would look pretty sitting on a windowsill...

Look at the different arrangements and different sized jars here.  So creative...
