July 4th Side Dish Recipes...

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

Today I'm sharing with you a NEW recipe and a group of recipes
that would be perfect for your July 4th party.

First up a new recipe for
Corn Fiesta Salad...

Ingredients

Two ears of fresh corn; removed from the cob
One can red kidney beans or black beans; rinsed and drained
One can diced tomatoes; drained
One cucumber; chopped
1/3 cup red onion; chopped
1 TBS. chopped parsley
1 TBS. chopped basil
Italian Salad Dressing

Feel free to add chick peas or black eyed peas,
whatever you have on hand works perfect for this salad.
That's the beauty of this recipe, there is no right or wrong!

Combine everything together in a bowl and add the salad dressing.
I used Good Seasons Italian Dressing, but your favorite would work nicely also.

Cover and refrigerator for one hour before serving.

Now on to a few other delicious recipes that would be perfect
for your July 4th celebration.

Twice Baked Stuffed Potatoes are always a nice addition to any BBQ
and they can made the day ahead and baked at the last minute...

Bacon Cheese Potatoes are a very popular recipe here on the BLOG.
They're made in the crock pot and everyone loves them...

Ricotta Stuffed Tomatoes are EASY.  I have made these before for
large crowds and you can make them the day before also; cooking them
right as everyone is arriving...

Tomato Focaccia Bread is made with yeast, but there is no kneading required...

And because NO summer BBQ is complete without baked beans, let's have some
Bac'n Beans from In the Kitchen with Jenny...

Zannie from My Mixing Spoon makes a delicious Caprese Pasta Salad...

Jodie from Binomial Baker has an amazing Argula and Tomatoes Pasta Salad...

Marlys from This and That has a delicious recipe for Grilled Vegies...

Joanne from Wine Lady Cooks has a Grilled Vegie recipe that is also
gluten free.  Head on over for her recipe HERE...

What's a BBQ without Creamy Coleslaw from In the Kitchen with Jenny...

And it wouldn't be a 4th of July party without Potato Salad.
Thank you Dawn from Spatulas on Parade for sharing your recipe...

Tomorrow is all about the SWEET part of a party
with DESSERTS.

    I'm now following you, too.

Blessings to you from Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

  3. Lois, this is a great round-up of side dishes. Thank you for including my grilled vegetables.

I'm having a hard time deciding which dish to make, maybe I'll choose 3 instead of just one.

    Thanks again,
    Joanne
