Dept. 56 Village Collection...

Monday, December 24, 2012

Today I am sharing with you my collection of Dept. 56 Villages.
My husband and I started collecting them the year we purchased our first house.

We all have that one special collection we love to put on display every Christmas.

For some it's a collection of snowmen, others it's Christmas china.

For me it's my Dept. 56 Christmas Village collection.

They make any mantel beautiful...

The Bookstore and the Apple Valley School House.
Olivia picked out the school house and was her gift to me the year she was in kindergarten...

The Old North Church that began our collection...

The Bike Shop...

Another beautiful church, The Deacon's Way Chapel, with stained glass windows...

And another church...

A Victorian Cottage...

The Bishop's Oast...

I love adding accessories...

A dancing couple...

Every year my husband and I love to find Dept. 56 Villages on display in local stores
and we spend time looking at the different houses and accessories.
We have eight houses and for us that's enough...we don't really have the room for more.

I have another post on Daily Dish sharing with you Jackie's
GREAT and EASY decorating tip.
Jackie's blog is Embracing My Blessings and is such a wonderful blog.

  2. GORGEOUS! How I love a village scene! I have not put ours up since we moved. Just can't find the room. I have missed it though. Think maybe it is time to pass it on to Melody. Merry Christmas to you and yours Lois! May your day be full of sweet blessings and love. HUGS
