Thanksgiving Centerpiece...

Need a pretty and inexpensive centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table this year?

Here is something that we have been doing in our family for YEARS...

Begin by purchasing or growing a small pumpkin.
Cut off the top of the pumpkin and remove the seeds...

Trim the edges of the pumpkin so it looks "pretty."
We used a vegetable peeler...

That looks GREAT...

Now you have to find something to hold your flowers and water.
Every year this is a challenge for me as you don't want your "vase" to be seen...

Now, add your flowers and arrange them.
Don't forget to add water to your "vase."
Place the pumpkin on a pretty dish so you don't ruin your tablecloth.

Doesn't that make the most prettiest centerpiece for any Thanksgiving Table...

I do enjoy setting a pretty table...

Enjoy your day!

  1. Lois, this is so pretty! Sharing on my page.

  2. Lois this was a great share. Thank you so much. Looks simple to do - which I like - but elegant. I am going to pin it. This year we are going to my son's - but I am going to do that next year.

  3. What a wonderful idea...I love it!

  4. Wow, Lois, you have the touch. Your table is gorgeous. Such a festive fall idea to use a pumpkin as the base. Have a lovely day.

  5. Beautiful!! I have done that off and on for Thanksgiving every since I worked as a florist. So fun!

  6. Yes, that does make the nicest centerpiece! What's the green plant? I like the idea of using the pumpkin. :-)

  7. So pretty! You have a beautiful table for Thanksgiving!

  8. Love this! I am totally going to try it!
