The most easiest dessert you'll ever make are these peanut butter chocolate chip bars from Walking on Sunshine Recipes.

When my son was in high school and on the football team I needed to make desserts almost weekly for their team dinners.  I needed to make desserts almost weekly for the snack bar on game night.  I needed to make desserts almost weekly for, fill in the blank!  Let's just say I made a lot of desserts when my son was in high school and this recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars was an easy recipe to make and everyone loved them.

What I love most about this recipe is it starts with a cake mix.  That's right.  A cake mix and it couldn't be easier to put together!  AND these are delicious.  Your family will love these bars for a snack or for dessert this weekend.  Go ahead, make them!  I'm sure you have all the ingredients in your pantry and you can have them ready soon!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter (I used creamy)
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Combine all the above ingredients into a mixer and mix well.
Press out the mixture into a greased 9X13 baking pan.
You will have to use your fingers or the back of a spoon as the dough will be sticky.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 17 minutes or until the bars are golden brown.

  9. Looks yummy! And I love a 'pan cookie' or bar like that because it doesn't involve all the shaping that cookies take.
