Content, Peaceful and Tired...

Since last fall I have devoted Tuesday's here on Walking on Sunshine to a question.
It started off with one simple question in one blog post and before
I knew it, a whole series developed.

I have come to LOVE our Tuesday's Question posts and hope you all have also.

Last fall, one of the first questions I asked you was for you to describe
your life in THREE WORDS at your FUNERAL.

That post generated a lot of comments!
You can read that post HERE.

I thought for this week's Tuesday's Question we would revisit
that very popular question...but with a slight change.

"Using only THREE WORDS
how would you describe your life NOW?"

Yes, only THREE WORDS!

I had a hard time answering this question.
The first three words that came to my mind were...

"Exhausted, tired, weary."

But then I went to our garden yesterday and I gathered this...

So last night, my three words were going to be...

"I love gardening."

Then I remembered Olivia is leaving soon to begin her sophomore
year at college and my words were...

"Worried, nervous, sad."

That's my girl in her Troubled Italian shirt that she sells on
her website to help pay for her college.
Here's a link to her Troubled Apparel site and her Twitter account if you'd like to follow her.
She has quite a following and has funny things to post.

But those three words don't really cover everything and
after some careful thinking, I came up with the following three words...

"Content, peaceful, tired."

Yes, I'm content.
I'm at peace with life and I'm also tired.
It's tiring keeping up with everything on some days!

All in all, God has been good to me and I'm grateful.

Another photo from our garden yesterday.

Leave me a comment and let me know
YOUR three words.

On the menu at our house tonight:

Enjoy your day!

  1. What a good idea - and you know - you do feel different ways at different times and with different people.

    So lets see -

    content - living - itchy!

    Love, sandie

  2. Beautiful, energized, spunky

  3. Morning Lois,
Loved that sunflower pic from your garden, beautiful.....would make a nice card!

Well, Mine are similiar to yours,
    they would be grateful, contented,
    and peaceful.............
I remembered that question from last year and thought I have to think about that for awhile and then come back, but then forgot to come
If there were 4 words for todays question I would add
    forgetful to my list!! lol

Hope you have a lovely day hon,
and I do love your Tuesday's question post, it is always fun and thought provoking...........

    Love and Blessings to you!

  4. Good morning! Now this should be interesting...but my emotions and feelings are ALL over the place these days, and my 3 top descriptions of me right now could change practically minute by minute, lol, so I am going to go with what I KNOW to be true.

    blessed, content, and hard.

    Have a wonderful day!

  5. creaky, satisfied, content

Those words for a gal leaving for college need some serious perking up! =D

Fun idea this Tuesday thing you've got going.

  6. Hi Lois - this is a tough one.. I have so many emotions all throughout the day. Right now I would say my three are: rested, motivated and grateful.

  7. My three words would be....Blessed, grateful, and fulfilled.

  8. My three words would be... Thankful!, waiting! and blessed!
    Enjoy your day.

  9. Waiting, Stressed, Hopeful.

That pretty much sums it all up right now. :)

  10. It's hard for me to sum anything up in just 3 words! :) I'd have to say my three words at this moment are:
    waiting, weary, wondering.

    Have a nice day!

  11. This was so good, Lois... but I have no idea what my three words would be? Hmmm... let's see... Healthy, Happy, Home comes to mind!

  12. Funeral: She loved living.

    Now: She loves living.

  13. Needy, Caring, Loved!

    Thanks for your precious insights.
Just wondering if you get my updates, I don't see my blog over in your sidebar any longer. Hmmm.

Hang in there sweetie as your daughter returns to school. I'll be praying for you. <3

  14. Really LOVE your sunflower photo! :)

  15. Safe, comfortable, hopeful! Enjoy the last few days before she goes back to school. I remember those's hard when they leave!

  16. Blessed! First thing that comes to mind.
Disheartened-Dr put me on a lactose-free gluten-free diet. I love to bake, this is going to be hard.
Motivated-it has made me want to eat healthier and teach my kids to do the same.

Thanks, this made me sit back and put my feeling into words.
    I love it!

  17. Let's see...that's harder to narrow down than you would think....

    Blessed, thankful, loved.
