"What is your favorite comfort food?"
What is that ONE meal you like to prepare
when you need a little something special?
For some people it's chicken pot pie...
Or maybe it's fried chicken...
How about steak...
Maybe something Italian like stuffed shells, lasagna or homemade ravioli...

well that's a tough one because we have so many comfort foods we enjoy around here! I make a English cut (or chuck) roast with the potatoes and carrots in the pan, cover with a mix of Lipton's onion soup, 1 can cream of chicken soup, and 1 can water. You can even start this with a frozen roast. It always turns out fabulous. I do it in the oven but you can also do it in the crock pot. I guess that is our favorite comfort food!
All of the ones you mentioned. ~smile~ My all time favorite is Chicken and dumplings, made by my MIL, no one could prepare this like she could. She is no longer with us, but dh and I speak of how we miss her and that special dish. Thanks for sharing.

I was surprised to find out that my ultimate "comfort food" meal is actually the top answer in a survey. Chicken, corn, and potatos. My personal preference is breaded chicken cutlets, corn-on-the-cob, and whipped potatos!
Good morning! Boy we have a few for sure, but I will try and narrow it to just one favorite, haha. I think it would have to be my meatloaf. We have it with mashed potatoes, and creamed peas....sooo good! Have a good day!

Fried chicken or chicken and noodles would probably top my list. Great question !!
I guess it would be either my macaroni salad or my spaghetti and both of them are time-consuming to make! If my Mom was still alive it would be her fried chicken along with her chicken and bisquits as she made both together and I can't even come close to the way she did fried chicken!

Lots of really great food there but my favorite comfort food would have to be Spaghetti Bolognese - easy and sooo tasty. It brings a smile every time!

This is a tough one. I think I'd have to say mashed potatoes. I wouldn't even care if there was nothing else with them. ha!
Boy that is a tough one but if I had to narrow it down it would be chicken and dumplings.
My grandmother used to make it for me when I was sick and she always called it her fix-u-upper soup. I miss her so much and think about her when I don't feel well.

A good beef stew on a cold day would be a favourite. It will be a few months before it's chilly again.:)
My all time favorite comfort food is Mac-n-cheese. My hubby doesn't care for it, so his is my homemade meat loaf with mashed potatoes.

I would say grits and eggs...for dinner...especially in the winter!
I loved mama's pot roast, too! I remember that was the first meal I requested from her when I recovered from having my tonsils out at age 12!!

This may sound strange, but my comfort food is liver and onions with mashed potatoes.
