Recipes That Caught MY Attention...

What a GREAT party we had on Friday!
I hope you were able to find a few new recipes to make for your family.
I had fun viewing all the recipes
and even finding a few new blogs to follow!

RECIPES THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION...

The first recipe was from A'Lil Country Sugar,

YES, sugar free and it looks really good!

Next, we have Bell Pepper Scoops from
Make the Best of Everything...

She uses peppers instead of chips for dip!
Isn't that a CLEVER idea?

And since I shared two really healthy treats, here's one to splurge with
Mini Cannolis by The Mandatory Mooch...

Don't those look AMAZING?

I hope you'll visit these blogs and show them some
Walking on Sunshine LOVE!

On Thursday, we had a HUGE storm pass through and it
caused quite a bit of damage with our vegetable garden.

We lost 2 pumpkins and part of a tomato plant...

The wind blew everything around and the Colonel and I had
quite a lot of "fun" trying to get everything back together.

But, I did manage to gather all of these green beans and a few sugar snap peas...

A quote I found on line that explains how I feel about gardening...

"God Almighty first planted a garden.
And indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures."

Enjoy Your Day!

  3. Good morning Lois! Love the bell pepper idea! They would be great for dips!

Sorry about your garden but glad you got it back in order! We're getting a few more things from ours, but still waiting on those tomatos!

    Have a great Monday!

  7. The sugar free rice pudding looks really good. Rice pudding is one of my favorites. So sorry about the damage to your garden :( Your beans and peas look yummy! Mary's pumpkin is gaining size now. The first one on the vine was a dud but this one is taking off so we are going to see how big it will get before frost.

  11. I've thought about you a lot and kept up with some of your posts. In fact, I tried your recipe for ribs and fell in love with the taste and tenderness of them.

I was recovering from surgery. I may tell about it in a future post. I hope to be back to regular posting. We'll see. Keep the great recipes coming.
    Hugs!
