Chocolate, Marshmallows and Graham Crackers...oh my!

This week's Something Yummy for My Colonel's Tummy is
another delicious treat I found here while looking on Pinterest.
Don't you love Pinterest?

I shared the following picture on Facebook yesterday as a tease for today's post...

Smores Cupcakes

Ingredients:

7  whole graham crackers (1 cup finely crushed)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
4 bars (1.55 oz each) milk chocolate candy, divided
12 large marshmallows

Combine the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar and melted butter...

Place 1 tablespoon of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a cupcake pan.
Press the crumbs into the pan to make little cups.
I used liners, the original recipe doesn't call for them, but I really hate messes...

Bake at 350 for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly.

Meanwhile, break up the chocolate, try NOT to eat any...

Remove the pan from the oven and place one square
of chocolate into each cup and then place one
marshmallow on top of the chocolate...

Return pan to the oven to cook for a few minutes or until
the marshmallow begins to soften and the chocolate has melted.

I had to "help" the marshmallow flatten...

Remove from pan and let cool completely.

Now, the original recipe says to "dip" the tops in chocolate,
but I really thought these were sweet enough so I just drizzled the chocolate on top...

These were so EASY to put together!

Do you have any plans for the weekend?

The Colonel has his monthly drill and leaves tomorrow.
The kids and I will be attending a college graduation/engagement party
of a friend at church.

AND
I hope to continue experimenting with my Mother's Day gift...

ENJOY your day and your weekend!

Oh my! Don't let Mayor Bloomberg see these. He might get on a campaign to outlaw them in NYC! :-)

Pray for me if you think about it. I am having a test done on Mon. and I have to "prep" for it on Sun. I am DREADING the whole thing...such a baby.

YUM! How easy and fun! I would have to buy extra chocolate to make these, though...you always should test a LOT of it beforehand to make sure it's not poisonous or has gone bad, etc.

Now those look so yummy. I will have to try that soon! I love your Mother's Day gift. I would really like one :) We are going to have a low key weekend as my hubby will be on call so we can't go far or get too committed to something.

Those sound so good. I have to pass on them though... darn it anyway.

The only plans I have for this weekend is heading to a community sale that friends of ours are having.

Have a GREAT weekend Lois

I came over from Weekend Potluck to get this great looking recipe. I will be visiting my great-grandson in a couple of weeks, and I think it would be fun to make these. I am a new follower on GFC. Paysu
