Tuesday's Question...

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

This week's Tuesday's Question came to me yesterday
because of something we did as a family LAST week.

"What was the last movie you
saw in a movie theater?"

Normally I would have to think really hard to answer this question
because very rarely do we go to the movies.

They're just so expensive and the Colonel's schedule is so full
that we don't really have time to see movies on a regular basis,
not to mention that the closest theater that's NICE is a 35 minute drive.

that all changed last week because we saw
not ONE but TWO movies.

Last Tuesday we went to see
The Avengers...

It was GOOD, but anything with Robert Downey Jr. lately is GOOD!

Then on Sunday, after church of course, we finally saw
The Hunger Games...

Michael insisted on waiting to see the movie until AFTER
he finished reading the book.

I thought the movie was good, a little long, but good.

Here's a picture of Olivia and me waiting for the movie to start...

So, now it's YOUR turn.

"What was the last movie you saw in the movie theater?"

I'm heading to the airport this afternoon to pick up the Colonel.
He left yesterday morning to DRIVE a school van to Kentucky.
And today he FLIES home!

Sounds confusing, but that's life in the Army!
The cadets need the van for their summer training, which is done in Kentucky.

Enjoy your day!

  1. The last movie we saw at the theater was "Slient House"...wouldn't recommend it. It was all hype and not much else. Like you, we rarely go to see movies. The cost for seeing the matinee for just the two of us was $16! Not worth it, in my opinion.

  2. I saw the Hunger Games. I thought it was good. I liked books 1 and 2 but struggled with book 3.

  3. The last movie we went to in the theatre was Jack and Jill on Thanksgiving Day. I loathe the theatre, so going on turkey day was a really good deal since we were the only people in there! :)

  4. good morning! We saw What to expext when your expecting. It was silly and entertaining at best, haha. We enjoyed the Hunger Games though I agree with you, it was kind of long. As for the Avengers, I am hoping to eventually take my older grand kids to see that...the lines for it have been sooo long. We have a theater by us that lets seniors see anything for 5 bucks so that is where we always head. I remember being soo gleeful when I turned 55 and could qualify for that, haha...Have a good day!

  5. We don't go to the movie theatre very often either but we went and saw the Avengers just after it came out!

  6. The Hunger Games (I thought it was not nearly as good as the books) and Snow White (Julia Roberts). We love the movies and always go to a matinee (cheaper) but don't do it too often.

  7. Oh goodness... I can't remember how long it's been since I've been to a movie theater! Hubby and I have Netflix because we don't have a theater anywhere close by... but I guess the last one I saw was "The Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock.
Looks like you all had a great time!

  8. The last movie I saw was "The Avengers"--and I thought it was good, too. I agree that any movie with Robert Downey, Jr in it lately is GOOD ;)

  9. Well I'm so glad you didn't give us details on those two movies because they're the one's I want to see too.
I can't remember for certain what the last theater movie was that we saw but I'm thinking it was a "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. I can only remember that it was it was in 3-D. Funny that it made NO impact on me. lol

  10. I just took my friends kids to see the Lorax at the dollar theater last night. The dollar theater with kids shows is usually as good as we get. :)

  11. The last movie we saw was 6 years ago. We saw 2 that summer, one was the first Pirates of the Carribean and the other one was Superman Returns. We used to go to the movies fairly often but after having Mary we just wait until is comes out on DVD. We want to take Mary to a Disney Movie as her first experience in a Theater. Maybe we will go this summer :)

  12. The last movie I saw in a theater was The Lorax. I took my girl scout troop. It was quite an adventure!

  13. Oh my gosh... I really can't remember. It has been over a year ago. I wanted to go see the Vow, but didn't make it.

  14. Wow. I think the last time we saw a movie in the theater it was War Horse. That's been a while.

  15. My last movie was the Avengers too - and I loved Iron Man - lol. Glad hubby is coming home. sandie

  16. Hubby and I went to see "October Baby" a few months ago.

  17. Hunger Games the weekend it came out! Lois, I have a surprise for you brewing in the oven and on my blog! Can't wait to share sweet sister! Later...Hugs!

  18. the last movie we went to see, we took 4 of our kids, was Mighty Macs...cost $78!!!
