A quick update on my Mom.
Surgery went well.
She was off the ventilator 2 hours AFTER surgery.
She is still in the ICU/Heart Unit at the hospital and will be there until
they release her to come home; probably another 4 days.
The doctor said mom's valve was so narrow he didn't know how
she WAS NOT having symptoms.
I do, it's called GOD!
Lamentations 3:22-23 says it all for me today...
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Thank you Lord for Your Hand of mercy upon our lives.
AND...
Thank you dear friends for your prayers.

I am so glad that everything went well. Hopefully you can breathe now.
I told about my Father's surgery in yesterday's post. His heart was over ninetyfive percent blocked when they did the catheterization. They took him by ambulance from the hospital in Sharon where this proceedure was done to Pittsburgh. Scared my Mother to death and I hightailed it from New Jersy because we weren't sure he would make it. I know that he rebounded due to prayer (he was placed on the prayer roll of four LDS Temples - Manhattan, Washington DC, Denver, and Salt Lake) and the grace of God. His mercy is indeed great.

How wonderful she is off the ventilator. Great News Lois!! Thank you for giving us an update. I was thinking about you yesterday.
I am so glad it all went well! Praise God! He really does more than we can ever think or imagine...to include things we don't even know apparently! Praying now for her speedy and complete recovery!

So happy to hear your Mom is coming along well. Doesn't the Lord do some awesome things. It was the same way with my hubby, when they came out and told me they did 6 bypasses I realized what a miracle it was that he did not drop dead on the raquetball court or during all the hurricane clean up we had to do in our yard. The Dr. said he had built a lot of collateral arteries that kept the blood flow. Of course, we know who did that!!

Hi Lois. Hope your mom is home by now and doing lots better. I am glad the surgery went well. Although I know it is certainly a rough one.
I hope you are doing ok. It is so hard to have someone we love going through such a trial.
