Tuesday's Question...

Today's Tuesday's Question has to do with LOVE,
not Valentine's Day, but LOVE.

"What does that Someone Special in your life do
that shows how much they love you?"

"Someone Special" can be a parent, child, friend or your hubby.

The one thing the Colonel does for me that shows he loves me  is...
He makes sure my car has a full tank of gas.

Oh he hasn't always done this.
There were times he would use my car and bring it back to the house
with just "fumes" in the gas tank.

But for the past few years he's been kind and fills the gas tank
for me when he borrows my car, which is quite often.

It makes me happy when I get in the car the next day after he's driven
my car and I see a full tank of gas, like this afternoon.
I had to pick up Michael from school and I knew I would have
to stop and fill up the gas tank.
BUT imagine my surprise when I saw a full tank of gas
when I started my car.

I felt the LOVE!

Sometimes it's the little things that someone does for you
that speaks VOLUMES.

So, tell me, what does that Someone Special in your life
do for you that says they love you?

Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. My sweetie works as hard as he has to to make sure I don't have to work outside the home. Oh and he always fills my truck with gas too! LOL ♥♥♥ Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. There are so many ways that my sweetie shows his love, the one thing that I am enjoying at this moment, is... He makes me a cup of coffee first thing every morning.
Wishing you and your dh a very happy Valentine's Day.

  3. Good morning! I don't know if I can pick out just one....I seriously am kind of spoiled. He does the gas thing like the colonel, and the cup of tea thing like Sue's hubby too. But I think the one that sticks out the most would be grabs my hand before he lives the house and prays with me asking God to protect me all day...Have a wonderful Valentine's Day Lois!

  4. I don't know if I have ever pumped my own gas more than once. Both my Hubs and my Daughter will do it for me.

My Hubs also makes sure I have the food I need to stay well in the house at all times.

    Happy Valentines Day Lois

  5. Happy Valentine's Day!
There are too many things to name.
First, I know he prays for me each day.
He gets up and always gets my newspaper for me and helps with breakfast or anything that needs to be done.
We are so fortunate to have the Christian husbands we have, aren't we!!

  6. Happy Valentine's Day to you.
I also don't think I could pick out just one thing as he spoils me daily.
I love that he did fix me a special breakfast this morning before I left for work. I don't usually eat that much early in the morning.

  7. It's hard to pick just one thing, but I'll say that I'm most grateful that he never, ever complains about anything. If I'd tell him that I was too lazy and didn't feel like fixing dinner and all he was getting was a sandwich, he'd say okay. He's a good guy!
Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!

  8. Happy Valentines Day to you too!!!!

My hubby is just the best. That's really all there is to it.

    Carmen and the Primcats

  9. My hubby is such a sweetheart it would hard to pick just one but I think the biggest one is that he listens me and always says kind things to me:)

  10. I could write a book on what my hubby does for me that makes me feel special like rubbing my back when I have bad menstrual cramps. He's a keeper!

  11. Dear Lois, I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Valentine's Day, Blessings my dear, Catherine xo

  12. Lois,

Jim surprises me every so often - he is never consistant. The one that popped into my head was the one morning it was about 10 degrees outside and we had close to eight inches of snow. He got up before I did and warmed up the car and shovelled the driveway so I would be able to get to work on time and not have any trouble getting out of our driveway. The warmest fuzzy part was that it was his day off and he had worked twentytwo hours straight the day before.
Last week you asked what did we collect and I wrote a nice answer and hit a button and it was erased. I didn't feel like retyping everything then so I'll reanswer now. I collect thimbles and have over 270. These are displayed in pinter's drawers that I have collected over the years. If we ever remodel the house this collection will go in my craft room. I collect many things - Cat's Meow Houses, Jello molds especially the metal ones and insulators. The insulators will go in the office once this someday remodel takes place.
Hope you have a great Valentine's day!

  13. Happy Valentines day Lois.....
Hope you are having a lovely day hon.

Well, my hubby does tons of stuff, but the one that comes to mind right now is he gives me a back rub almost every night, cause of my back problems, and it really helps me sleep, and my back always feels better in the morning after a back rub, compared to how it feels if I don't get one. So that is a real sweet gift and sacrifice for him.

Very nice of the colonel to fill your gas tank too. Not fun getting into the car and thinking you have gas to get somewhere and having to stop and maybe be late because you had to fill up. Good going Phil!!

Have a sweet evening with your honey! Did you get to talk to Olivia today???

    Valentine's blessings, Nellie

  14. That is such a sweet story! Unfortunately, I'm one of those "fumes" people too... I'll drive it a long way after the light comes on... *oops*
My Hubby brought home a box of pecan and caramel turtles for me today~ he knows what I like! (LOVE!)

  15. It's definitely the little things! We live in an apartment on the 7th floor and it's really annoying to get the kids all bundled up and out the door every time I need to take out the trash, so my husband takes it out every morning when he leaves for work -- and he always re-lines trashcan. It's silly, but seeing that freshly lined, empty trashcan every morning always makes me happy! :)

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  16. He will do pretty much what I ask - sometimes when he doesn't want to - so I am careful about what I ask for.
    Happy Valentine's Day. sandie♥

  17. My husband does the same thing. In fact, I don't even know how to use the pump. Ha. He also does his own laundry. I really appreciate that. My list would be too long for the space because he does so many things for me to show his love for me. I'm a lucky gal.

  18. She smiles every time our eyes meet. Her smile makes my day. I love her more than anything else on this earth. 46 years of married life has not dimmed her beauty.

  19. sweet and tender..
    Thank you!
    God bless you both!

  20. That is so sweet. When I was pregnant, both times, my husband did not want me to breath the gas fumes and so he filled my car for me all the time. I loved it.

  21. Oh I loved reading these.

Well Jason does make sure my tank is full and prays with us before leaving for work.

Two things though that he does that really say I love you....he holds my hand almost always in the car and he warms my side of the bed at night while I'm getting off my makeup and all that stuff us women do before climbing into bed. Every night. :)

He spoils me a little bit! :)
