The Colonel...

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Found this picture at my new favorite website...

This is where the Colonel is stationed in Afghanistan.

He's pictured here with a congressman from New Jersey.

What a nice surprise for me while I was looking at the photos on this website
to see my hubby's (sort of) smiling face.

Enjoy your day!

  7. Morning Lois,
What a nice picture of Phil. I bet that made your heart skip a beat!!
Nice to see he looks well, sorta smiling like you say. I know it really helped our friends when their son was in Iraq to be able to see him, cause you can tell a lot by their countenance.
It is good they keep them so busy in a way, cause they don't have time to think about home that much, course, I am sure it is still hard!
Hope you are feeling way better by now hon. I am sure the site of Phil perked you up a bit. That was a sweet surprise from your Heavenly Dad!!
    Have a super day,
Thanks for sharing his Photo, it was nice for us to see too, since we pray for him all the time.
    Love and Blessings sweet friend,
    Nellie

  10. Oh what a wonderously wonderful surprise. He looks soo good. How that must have warmed your heart. Isn't it something that we live in such a time that something like this is possible? I just want you to know that the Lord has spoken to my heart to lift you and your children up every day in prayer. I am praying specifically for the anxiety right now, but please let me know if there is anything more in particular I can for. Have a wonderful day Lois. Hugs to you, Deb

    This is Marydon ~

    G'day, Ladies ...
Sherry will arrive on April 16th so we are planning a luncheon on April 17th in Mt. Airy, MD. After the luncheon (I personally am paying for everyone's lunch) we will come back to my house for a gathering of good times, great chatter & enjoyment. I'd like the gathering of we ladies to be around 12:30PM if it will work for you all. Final details will follow.

I have 2 extra beds & a couch for anyone who needs a stay over ... first come first serve.

We (Mt. Airy) are located just off Rt. 70 half way between Frederick & Baltimore.

I will need to know 2 weeks in advance of your coming for the restaurant reservations I've made. Please let me know ... we are so looking forward to meeting you all.

    TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
