Something Funny...

Monday, February 22, 2010

1.   You accidentally enter your PIN on the microwave.

2.   You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3.   You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach
your family of three.

4.   You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

I actually text my daughter when I want to tell her something and she's usually in the next room!

5.   Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they
don't have e-mail addresses.

6.   You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is
home to help you carry in the groceries.

7.   Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen

8.   Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't even have the first
20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life,
is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10.   You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11.   You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12.   You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

13.   Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14.  You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

FINALLY~~~~~ ~~~~~~~

NOW YOU ARE LAUGHING at  yourself.

Hope you all have a great day!

  1. Good morning, Lois! These are all so true! Very cute :) (I am tilting my head as I smile at the list!)

  2. Guilty too! This was great Lois. You started my day with a smile! Hugs, Loretta

  3. LOL, that is so funny and TRUE! I think the only one I've never done is the texting, I'm too old fashioned to know how:( Hope you have a great day and thanks for the laugh!

  4. This was funny! I am guilty of the texting my daughter when we are in the same house!

  5. SO funny~
I just wanted you to know I am praying for your husband's safety everyday. I am paying for you too! I may need your prayers in return one day for my Alex~when it is his turn again. I know how hard it must be on you and your family. It is the very least I can offer~my prayer for all your family that is sacrificing for my family!
I have prayed God will give you a special blessing today!

  6. These were fantastic. You made my morning. I am guilty of many of those you listed.
    Enjoy your week,

  7. Too funny!Yes, I scrolled back up to see if there was really no #9...

  8. haha Is that ever true...guilty of most. Definitely call from the driveway with groceries and from my son's house for "Come get the kids", haha I think I show my age more by NOT texting though. It drives all of my kids wild for some reason, lol. I just can't do it fast enough and I'm not very patient. I think they could all do it in their sleep.

On a different note...I just wanted to say that I think what your husband accomplished was WONDEERFUL!! CONGRATULATIONS to him. I honestly can't imagine how hard that must have been to do with everything else he had going on at the same time. How proud you must be. I also wanted you to know that I DO lift him (and all of you) in prayer quite often. I am grateful for all you sacrifice for us.

    Have a wonderful day...

    Hugs, Debbie

  9. G'morn, Lois ~ OMG! Sounds all too familiar! What a fun write.

    Have a beautiful week!
    TTFN, Hugs ~ Marydon

  10. Oh, yeah, you were exactly right on all accounts, especially the #9 thing. Boy, aren't we a basket case?!

  11. Someone knows us pretty well! I am guilty of most of the above. Oh well, who can help it; there's no going back now. Have a good week and thanks for helping us laugh at ourselves:)

  12. Good morning
Your list gave me a good laugh and I am guilty of quite a few of them :) I was praying for the colonel this morning and for you too. Thank him fo rserving his country. We appreciate the sacrifice all of you are making.
    Hugs, rhondi

  13. Guilty of most everyone of those!

  14. I love # 11 the best...that's so cute! Very funny list and we can all relate, huh?

  15. HaHA! Love it. That was hilarious.

  16. LOL, this was cute Lois, and YES I did check to see if there was a nine. Have a great day. Take care.

  17. Lois all of this is so true..I don't text...but everyone else seems to be. Oh and I've never put a pin number in the microwave numbers...but I get your point. I can't remember all of these numbers and passwords etc.

You made me smile with all of this.

Hope all is well with you and that you are adjusting with the hubby gone. I pray for his safety.

    Luv, Linda @ Truthful Tidbits

  18. Thanks for the laugh!
    I love your new background.
    Sending some smiles and ((HUGS))!

  19. Thanks for the laugh today. I really did need one.
I am guilty on most of them. I did scroll back to check on #9.
How did we ever manage before the cell phone or computers.
    Prayers for your family.

  20. Very cute. Thanks for the laugh!

  21. Lois, thanks for the laugh - needing that during the recuperation from my surgery. I'm having a hard time with the pain medicine - It makes me cry alot and I don't know why.

  22. #8 is so true! I hate to admit it too. :o)

  23. Good Morning Sunshine!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
I had to grin when you mentioned being thankful for your garage. I can really relate! (though I have been taking that blessing for granted lately) But just yesterday I was overcome with thankfulness for indoor plumbing!!!
As contemporary Americans, we are SO blessed!
Have a God filled day my friend.

  24. Morning Sunshine,
That is so cute, and so true!! lol
I don't know how to text tho, and too lazy to learn. Make hubby do it!!
It is so funny how you live all those years without a cell phone but act like of my Gosh, I forgot my phone. Course, I have to say you can not find pay phones anymore either, so you kind of need to have it now!!
Hope all is well at your house
    Sweetie, Have a great day.
It is overcast here today but warmer in the 70's.
    Love & blessings, Nellie

  25. And this is a sign of age - if you use your index fingers instead of your thumbs to text!

Great post - and so true,

  26. So funny- and great post, Lois!!:)

#4 - I CALL my daughter whose bedroom in on our lower level-when her door in shut, there is no hearing me call her name.
#6 - sooo guilty for a long time!
#7- my 82 yr old mother says"dot com, dot com, everything is dot com!" (bless her heart:)
    #8 very guilty!
#9- it was SO FUN laughing at myself- and how we all relate:)tilting my head;)

  27. This was just too hysterical. I needed a good belly laugh! Thanks!

  28. I use my thumbs texting, but I am slow. It takes me awhile and before I can take a breathe the person has anwsered me back! Can you tell my age? lol sandie

  29. Too cute! Guilty on at least half of those! Love the one about the missing #9!! But I didn't scroll back!! HA!!

Love ya Lois and praying for all that concerns you!

  30. Morning Sweetie,
Thanks for coming by. Can't believe it is snowing again, and then there is more to come. If this global warming doesn't stop I don't know what we are gonna do! lol
Yea, I couldn't believe the cookies had no flour or anything else either and I thought they would be a sticky mess, but I put parchment paper on the cookie sheet and used one of those scoops that has the release thingie in it, and they made perfect lil balls and then I just smushed them with the fork. If the fork sticks just take your finger and wipe off the top of the fork while it is still on the cookie and the fork comes right off. But the fork really didn't stick that much at all, which was surprising to me!!
Well, happy cookie baking and sure will be praying for you hon.
I know that must sound scary a crippling snow storm. These news
casters I think they just love to scare people!! By the way, how are you Phil and the children doing?
    Love and Blessings hon,

  31. Hi Lois, You sure can use the pictures! I got them from an forwarded e-mail, so they are not "mine" anyway. Have fun with it!

  32. Funny and scary at the same time, aren't they Lois? What a crazy world we live in...guess we need to go back to "Reach out and touch (or see) someone."

    blessings and hugs,

  33. This is so funny and TRUE. I was shaking my head yes to almost every one of them....okay...all of them!

  34. That was too funny! Thanks for the laugh this morning!

  35. I love true... :)....I have texted my daughter when she is in the same room LOL
