I've been MIA from my blog for a few days, but there's a reason.
It seems that I have come down with a nasty STAPH infection.
Yes, you heard me right.
What started out as a simple bug bite has turned into something horrible.
Something that has caused me so much pain, I'd rather give birth again.
And you all need to know that Michael was 10 1/2 pounds at birth and the epidural never took.
I noticed last Sunday two bug bites, but didn't really pay too much attention to them until Monday afternoon.
They were really "bugging" me. LOL!
By the time I went to bed Monday evening I knew something wasn't right.
I was in so much pain.
I woke up early Tuesday morning and drove myself to the emergency room.
Thankfully I was in and out in 30 minutes.
The ER doctor said they were just bug bites and put me on an antibiotic.
I repeatedly asked him, "You're sure they're not staph?"
He said, "No, they're just badly infected. They could turn to staph but you'll be on an antibiotic and will be fine."
Well, Tuesday was horrible.
Sick, sick, sick. Fever, headache, awful.
By Wednesday I started feeling much better, however, one bug bite was growing.
In fact it was growing so much I started calling it my "third boob" because it was located under my rib cage.
On Thursday I go to my family doctor and show him my new boob
and he's quite surprised to see it.
He says right away it's staph and proceeds to take out a scalpel
and take the top off of this very painful bug bite.
We find out today if it's MRSA.
Let me tell you this is no fun.
I will try to keep you all updated on the continuing drama going on in my life!
