And It's a BIG ONE!

Our latest project...

No seriously,  it is a huge project.

We're adding on to our house.
Making our dining room bigger.

We're opening up the entry from the living room into the dining room.

We've been saving for quite a long time to do this...a LONG TIME.
And I do mean saving.

And it's almost done!

Foundation going in...

Framing going up.
There will be a door leading from the new addition onto the back porch...
Entry from dining room into living room BEFORE...

AFTER...
New addition...

AFTER...
The Colonel is home for a few days this week.
He's painting tomorrow.
The hardwood floor gets installed on Monday.

And exactly what will I be doing today?
What any good wife would do...
I'm going shopping for new curtains!

Enjoy your day!

  7. Morning Sweet Girl,
It was good to hear from you! We had a great time celebrating this weekend and just being together.
My back is way better since Friday.
Thanks for the nice comments about my son. We think he is a cutie too, and yes, I am very proud of him and my daughter. They are really great kids (adults)! Will always be kids to me!! Hazards of Motherhood! lol
Wow, you really have a big project going on there. How exciting! Do you think they will be finished before the colonel has
to leave? I am praying you will be able to have dinner in there for Thanksgiving and many times beforehand. Looking forward to seeing the finished Room. You are
    gonna really enjoy that!
We took our first shower in our newly renovated bathroom on our
anniversary, and it was such a delight, in fact, every time I take a shower now I am so delighted.
This was probably a nice distraction for you right now.
Am glad you are getting a handle on things. Aren't the Psalms just wonderful, they are such a comfort
in times like these. We get handed a lot of difficult things in life, but God is able to calm the storm or the child, whatever is needed! Am glad you have such a great background of teaching from you Dad. I am sure that is very helpful to you right now.
Do your parents live fairly close to you by any chance?? Hope they aren't too far away.
Well, you have a great day honey,
and hope you find some great curtains for that pretty new dining room.
    Nice Christmas present to yourselves.
    Love and blessings,
    Nellie
