A new follower of mine, Shay, posted this cute Q & A
on her blog a few weeks ago.
I thought I'd play along.
Enjoy!

When is the last time you we're surprised?

The Colonel ordered a book for me that he had seen years ago in
one of our favorite book stores.
He could only find it used, but it was such a sweet surprise.

If you were granted one wish right now, what would it be?

Should I do the politically correct thing and ask for world peace?
NO.
I really would love to be 20 pounds thinner.

Who was the last person you had a deep conversation with and what was it about?

The Colonel.
And our "deep conversation" probably was about music and my piano playing.
A lot going on there.

Is there a certain moment that you can replay in your head perfectly?

Yes.
Don't want to go into detail.
Has to do with my father.

You never know what you have till you lose it. True or false?

 True.

Three thing's your scared of?

Only three?  Where shall I begin?
Terrified of something happening to the Colonel and my children.
Flying.
My daughter driving to school.

Believe it or not, I'm terrified of the drive to her school.
It's about 30 minutes away and the road clings to the mountain.
My mother loves the view.
I'm too terrified to take my eyes off the road to notice ANYTHING.
Anytime I have to make the drive, I always take someone with me...
Usually my mother so she can enjoy the view.

What is your favorite season, and why?

Fall.
The colors are spectacular.
I'm continually amazed that God could have had everything just die and turn brown and ugly, but HE chose to make the process beautiful.

What is something you can't do, but have always wanted to?

Okay, here's something only people with curly hair will understand...
I've always wanted to be able to pull my hair back in a ponytail!

What is the most memorable thing that has happened this year?

Taking on our latest house project.
It might turn into one of the three things I'm afraid of.
I promise to post pictures soon!

What states/country's have you lived in, and where do you want to retire?

I was born and raised in Queens, New York and still consider myself a New Yorker.
Attended college in Missouri.
Lived on Ft. Benning, Georgia for 5 months.
Lived in New Jersey for 11 years and now live in Pennsylvania.
I really enjoy our house and couldn't think of living anywhere else!

Well I hope this didn't bore you too much!

Join the fun.  Let me know if you do!

  1. I am thankful that we don't live in the mountains for the simple fact that I would be terrified when my kids learned to drive! We lived in CT for 6 months and when the roads got icey there was nothing you could do but slide!

I know what you mean about kids driving in the hills. My sons did it when in High School now my #1 grandson will be doing it this yr.
I just Pray each day that GOD will be their co-pilot.

  8. Very interesting! Your love for hubby, kids and home is plain to see!

P.S. Why can't you wear a ponytail? Does it just puff up if gathered up?

I had a curly-haired friend who wore ponytails, it was the cutest thing, it made it look like a little squirrel was curled up on the back of her neck, hibernating.

  11. I too am scared of heights, especially when driving through the mountains! They sure are pretty to look at though.
Enjoyed learning more about you. Might try to join in on that this weekend.
    Hugs.
