Update...

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Well I thought I'd give you an all an update on my nasty little bug bites.
They have now spread to four, well two are bug bites, the other two are by-products of the infection...

Which is MRSA.

I think we all knew it would come back as MRSA.

At least I did.

But thankfully I know what to do and how to handle the infections and all the nasty stuff that is coming with it.
I'm on another antibiotic for the next 10 days.
And the funny thing is, it's the same antibiotic you need if you've been exposed to anthrax.

So if any terrorists out there decide to attack us with anthrax in the next 10 days,
I'm good to go!

Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers.
I'm still uncomfortable but it doesn't feel as if any knives
are sticking out of my belly any longer.
Thank God.

The Colonel comes home this weekend
and I hope he'll be giving me some extra attention!

Enjoy your day!

  3. Well that makes sense, It seemed like a normal bug bite wouldn't turn that bad. Glad they found out and can treat you more effectively now and hope your all better and then some VERY SOON:)

  7. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I hope that the antibiotics can kill the MRSA. Have you looked into boosting your immune system? I was curious if echinacea, orange juice, water, vitamins, blueberries, natural yogurt etc. could boost your immune system to help fight off this bacteria?

    Good luck to you!
    Hugs, Sharon

  16. Oh my! I'm so glad your feeling better. That is so scary! I feel so bad you had to go through all of that! Those antibiotics should clear things up. Did they give you Cipro? If they did then you'll be better in no time! Hope you get pampered for a while! Blessings and hugs, Loretta

  17. Hi Sunshine,
So sorry to hear your plight. I was so hoping it wasn't MRSA, staph is bad enough. That just amazes me that a bug bite could turn into something like that!
    Who would have thought!!
Well now I am praying for a quick
and clear recovery. Am certainly glad you a prepared for an Anthrax scare cause you never know.
That was something else that happened to us when our house was
flooded, my husband got sent to
Boca Raton, Fl. and he was staying in the hotel right next to the nat'l Inquirer bldg where they had
an outbreak of Anthrax, so the guys at work were teasing him that he was staying in the Anthrax Hilton. lol
Am glad you are feeling somewhat better and I know you must be so
happy hubby will be home soon.
Keep us posted sweetie! and we will keep praying the Lord causes those antiobiotics work quickly.
    Have a good day,
    Blessings, Nellie
