Good Friday...

A beautiful video I saw on Debbie's blog the other day that helps us remember why Jesus had to die...

Therefore Jesus said again, I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

I am the good shepherd.

The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—
and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:7-11

I've always loved this scripture about the sheep knowing His voice.

I'm so sorry about We Did It Wednesday! Thank you so much for participating. I completely forgot! I have just been super busy! And it will all calm down a week from Sunday. Until then...craziness!!

  5. what a moving song and video, I am wiping tears away, my daughter watched to and was very silent. I think we forget how horrible being crucified was and seeing it really shows how much love Jesus has for us. How can we not love him and serve him back.

  9. This is a great scripture to remember- the intimate relationship that Jesus wants with us.

This video is amazing. It is hard to watch, but like when my husband and I first went to see it in the theatre, I forced myself to watch- telling myself the He did it for me, I had to watch how horrible the sacrifice and pain was for Him- and still I have no concept of how he suffered...really.

But oh, the joy that came that Sunday morning...victory over death! What a Saviour...

    Thanks, Lois.

    Blessings,
    Linda C

  13. I saw the video on Debbie's site too and it is wonderful!

This is always an emotional weekend for me. I think of what our Jesus suffered for each of us and how little praise we truly give. We could never praise enough for the pain and suffering that was endured for our eternal life.
So many times I think about what Mary Magdaline must have felt when she went to that tomb and the stone was rolled back. Can you imagine what she thought and felt...wow.

May you and your family have a blessed Easter.

    Blessings,

    Gigi
