2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.

Don't you feel like we need the above verse more than ever now?
We as Christians need to be on our knees seeking guidance and protection from the Lord.
Listening to the news lately can be very scary, but we need to remember that our Lord will provide for us, will guide us and will protect us!

Let us not waiver, let us not fall on our knees in disbelief.
Let us stand strong at the front lines of this battle and call out to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, for our help truly comes from God, the Maker of Heaven and earth.

Care to join me in storming the gates of Heaven?

  1. I agree strongly. In this world we have become a people where THINGS are our God. People are forgetting in what order life should be.A nation of keeping up with Jones at any price.Forgetting to seek God and mainly taken him out of things the way our nation was made.He said put no Gods before me and I believe people will have to fall down on their face and seek him again.

  2. Care to join me in storming the gates of Heaven??? Not only am I willing to join you beloved sister, I'm ready to do hand to hand combat. I am SICK of being a weak kneed soldier for Christ. I'm putting on my armor of God (Ephesians 6)...and I will have in my hand my sword to fight this battle. No more running scared, no more whining, no more hiding in the trenches..I'm fighting the good fight with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God....
    POWERFUL post sis..awesome!!

  4. I am so with you on this Lois. I had to turn the news off yesterday while driving. I was tensing up so bad and I just had to put on my praise and worship and just sing out to the Lord. Love this scripture. Thanks for sharing it today.

  5. I love this both of those verses. Have you heard the Hillsong song based on the II Chron scripture? It is so powerful. I used to cry when we sang it at church. What the world needs is God and seems like the world, especially America, just keeps turning from God. I often think how this must grieve the Lord. Yes, I will join you and stand strong at the front lines of this battle.

    Amen.

    Love, Sharon
P.S. For a chuckle.....my word verification today was "Messi"! LOL!

  6. Lois, this is a great post- we sure need to take this verse to heart and pray!

The message that I remember about this verse that I heard a pastor speak on is the part that says who is responsible for making this change come about..."if MY PEOPLE- who are called my MY NAME--my children. Not the world, not the politicians.

Our Lord wants US to humble OURSELVES- not to expect someone in Washington to- this is OUR responsibility. THEN will he hear from Heaven and heal our land.

Just think of what would happen if born again believers across our nation united in implementing this power of being a child of God- and what it could do to turn this country toward God!

I am right there with you at the gates my sister--"hear our prayer oh Lord..."

    Hugs,

  11. A really wonderful post Lois - I always love reading your posts that cover an explanation of a part of Scripture. I know I have said it before but you have an amazing way with words when it comes to making people think, and to making Christian ideas accessible to everyone.

Love and blessings to you all for the coming week dear Lois.
