Please Pray...

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

I posted a few weeks ago regarding Olivia and her back problem. Well, she's been having tremendous pain the past 2 weeks. The pain has now spread to her right leg and she is having trouble walking. I'm thinking it could be a pinched nerve from one of her herniated discs. I made an appointment with the spine doctor today.

Olivia is not one to complain of pain. When she was a little girl, she was running a fever so off we went to the doctor. The doctor checked her one ear and said, "Oh that's really inflamed." Then he went on to the other ear and said, "Wow, that one is really bad also. Has she been complaining of pain?" I said "Not at all; just the fever." He said, "Most kids would have been crying all day if their ears looked like hers."

For Olivia to complain, I know she is in pain. And she has been complaining lately! So if you could keep us all in your prayers today, that would be great. Her appointment with the rheumatologist is still scheduled for April 7th.

I'll keep you all informed later in the day!

  3. I will be praying for her... I was the same way when I was young... (walked around for weeks with a broken arm and didn't even know it till I tried to squeeze the toothpaste and had trouble) so she must be hurting. I bet you are right about it being a nerve... Keep us posted when you can...

  23. As you know, I have many spinal issues myself. I will pray for your Olivia. Hopefully, with her being so young, physical therapy will be all she'll require.
I will certainly keep her in my prayers.

  27. Hope you figure out what is wrong soon. I had a herniated disc three years ago, it was very painful. Fortunately, I was able to have surgery and am now completely pain free.
