Happy Monday!

Sunday, March 1, 2009

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I started feeling better on Thursday and spent the day shopping, running errands, the usual. My shopping consisted of Sam's Club, so not too much fun, but sure spent a bunch of money. I spent Friday cleaning the house and tackling some cleaning projects that I had been neglecting.

Saturday was a different story. I woke up feeling awful! The worse headache, fever, bone tired all over again. But I managed to get a pot of sauce going, even if it was in the crock pot and proceeded to lay on the couch the entire afternoon only getting up to fix lunch and dinner.

The Colonel and I watched a great movie Saturday evening. I have never seen an Angelina Jolie movie before. Yes, you heard me correctly! But for some reason her new movie, The Changling, appealed to me. And it was so good. It was based on a true story and I just found it fascinating!

I'm sharing a few pictures of how sweet hubby was...here he is making chocolate covered strawberries to cheer me up.

Isn't he the best??

I am feeling much better today, thanks for all your prayers!

  6. Morning!!!
    Yummy strawberries!
Hope you are feeling much better today!
We watched "The Changling" also this weekend. Angelina Jolie is a great actress in this movie. It was a history lesson and mystery on in one.

  9. Aww, what a guy. I hope today is a good day. Being recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, I understand your issues, somewhat. As far as disappearing as a follower, that's another blogger issue. Not something you've done, but something they've done. If you are following anonymously, then if you follow publicly I think it will fix it. Some setting they changed affected some of the "following" stuff. I'm not sure how to fix it otherwise!

  10. HI Lois,
First things first!!! I am so glad you are feeling better, I will continue to pray!!!
Second:: Looks like that hubby of yours is a keeper, just like mine. Aren't we blessed?
Third: I just love your blog makeover!!! I love changing things around and its free!!!! I have been looking around this morning wanting to find something new too!!
Since our budget won't let me do it in my home ,I am going to have to settle for rearranging my blog, which i so enjoy, but most of all I enjoy talking with my new friends . Have a very blessed Monday!
    Blessings,
    Sue

  11. Halloo! Just a note about the Followers gadget -- sign in to it, then click Options" at the bottom I believe. From there, you can alter what appears about you -- you may have to alter yer Google profile as well, it will redirect you if you do, then return you back to the Followers Gadget. I used the Options to change what avatar appeared, which blogs it showed, and so forth. Let me know if ye have troubles.
