I saw this quote the other day and I loved it. It was hand-stitched and framed and was so beautiful...BUT was almost $50! So I'm sharing it with you. I may try and do something with it on my computer and frame it myself, but for now here it is...

"I have been driven many times to my knees
by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere to go.
My own wisdom, and that of all about me, seemed insufficient for the day."

Abraham Lincoln

Oh how I can relate to that! Sometimes I have no idea what to do but head to my Lord for answers. My own ability to deal with a situation cannot compare to the ability the Lord gives me. I alone cannot make it. I am so thankful that my Lord gives me the strength each day to go on. Lord, please help me to understand how much I need to depend on You for everything in my life.

Enjoy your day! Will be back with a few photos from Christmas SOON!

  1. Thank you for visiting me. I counted how many hymns we did. 12!!!! Yikes. Normally a service as 5 at the most. With all the practicing and actual service time, my left thumb was sore. But I made it through the service. I never get down from the organ bench to go up to communion. Too stiff to move. But yesterday the pastor brought communion to me. They do that nearly every time I play which is nice.

  2. Thanks for sharing a great quote. Oh, how I can relate. I am so thankful for a Savior who knows me intimately and is capable of carrying the burdens I bear. You are an encouragement!

  3. Great post!

I have an award for you. Stop by my blog an pick it up when you have time:)

  4. I so agree with you. It must be terrible to feel like you are on your own without the help of the Savior. Congrats on the award above. I'd say you are very deserving.
    Happy New Year!
