It's been quite a few days since my last entry. I was able to get Worship Song Sunday out only because I had done it a few weeks ago. This weekend has been very trying for me. My husband had minor surgery on Friday to repair a hernia he developed.
The Army insisted on it being repaired since there's always the possibility of him being deployed again. With a hernia you have about 4 hours to seek medical attention in case of a rupture and if you're here in the States that's not a problem. But if you're overseas in the middle of a desert, well, the outcome is not too good!
My husband had to return to work this morning, even though the doctor wanted him home for a bit longer...so now I worry that he'll do too much and maybe hurt himself.
Being in the hospital reminded me too much of my dad. I really didn't want to go there...back to those memories...but they came flooding back. And other things happened this weekend that just really drained me. I really had no interest in being here...or reading other blogs. Which is really weird because I love my blog.
I'll leave you with a verse that helped me out a lot this morning. I know I didn't leave one for Saturday... 2 Corinthians 4:16-18: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Check back later in the week to see pictures of Michael's yellow belt test in karate!
